Hierarchical Visit of Metropolitan Kirykos to the Parish Community of the Holy Apostle Thomas and St. Matthew the New-Confessor - 2010

It has been a great blessing for our parishioners to host our much beloved hierarch Metropolitan Kirykos for the past 13 days. During the pastoral visit we gathered, prayed and experienced together; The feast of our second patronal saint, St. Matthew the New-Confessor;

The Sunday of All Saints; The tonsuring of a Reader to serve the parish; The feast day of Sts. Constantine and Elena;

The baptism of our newest adult parishioner; The Sunday of All Saints of the Holy Mountain.

And the Metropolitan was able to visit most of the homes of our members as well.

We know that many of our parishioners have been able to visit Sevesmiótete in Greece, but this trip was especially dear and important since it is the first time he has been here to serve the Divine Liturgy since the parish has had a temple to worship in.
Much thanks go out to all who hosted our blessed hierarch and provided abundantly for his needs and Many Years to the entire membership on this great occasion. Much thanks also to God for allowing His hierarch the time away from his many responsibilities in Greece to come and visit us.
May God grant many such visits in the future.

On the way back to Greece Sevesmiótete stopped to visit with the

Brotherhood of St. Cosmas in Montreal.
