Temple Dedication in Avgorou, Cyprus

 

On Sunday, September 13th (26th n.s.), a new temple, dedicated to the Entry of the Theotokos, was conserated in Avgorou, Cyprus by Metropolitan Parthenios of Kition, Cyprus and assisted by Metropolitan Kirykos of Mesogaias and Lavreotikis, Greece. Other attending clergy were Archpriest Michael Ioannou, Hieromonks Gymnasios and Ieramias, Priests Agathokleos Papadopoulos and Sotirios Hadjimichael and Hierodeacon Sozómenos. Also attending this solemn and festive event were 400 faithful Orthodox Christian Cypriots. After the service the local parish committee organised a meal for everyone at a local taverna.
